When you go down to the woods today…you’ll be greated by an uttlerly stunning woodland wedding set up. We’re talking pink velvet sofas, hot chocolate station and a rustic tablescape to die for.
Styled by Events by Design, this is a collaboration of likeminded wedding suppliers who share a love for woodland weddings. I hope you have a cup of tea at the ready, here we go…
Wilderness Woodland Wedding Venue
The Wilderness Woodland is just outside of Canterbury in Kent. It’s a stunning rural landscape where you can hold your wedding ceremony and reception right in the woodland. There’s a hut structure for your ceremony and a tipi for use during the reception. They also have a gamping village near by which means you can turn your woodland wedding into a woodland sleepover!
Vintage Prop Hire
The vintage furniture pieces beloing to Locate to Create who are also based in Kent, just a bit closer to Sevenoaks. Holly from Locate to Create has a wonderful eye for spotting statement vintage pieces and has an amazing collection of pink velvet chairs, rustic wooden tables and rattan peacock chairs. They also have a great selection of vintage rugs and props – the small details that work perfectly when decorating a woodland wedding. The coloured candlesticks and small decorative features seen in these images also belong the Locate to Create.
Boho Bridal Style
This 2-piece wedding dress by Charlotte Balbier is utterly stunning. It’s perfect for a woodland wedding; elegant yet relaxed – if you know what I mean. I love the detailed top paired with the floaty, trailing skirt. If I was to get married again I would definitely go for this look (flat stomach permitting). I wouldn’t normally associate woodland brides with veils, but this one by Ashley Wild looks like it was meant to be. I think it’s the combination of the head jewellery and the 2-piece gown that makes this look perfect. I really love this idea of having day and night jewellery accessories as it transforms the whole outfit. These beautiful lace boots by House of Elliot are a perfect match to the bridal top. An unexpected pairing which works oh so well!
Woodland Wedding Florals
When your wedding backdrop is a stunning woodland meadow, the flowers you use to style both yourself and the venue are an extension of this. Keeping the woodland theme apparent, attaching ferns to the eisle ends works well as does emphasising greenery in the bouquet and head piece. The large hydrangea heads are my favourite, especially in this cream shade. Thumbs up to Sussex Florals who dressed both the bride and the venue in perfect woodland wedding florals.
Woodland Wedding Tablescape
One of my favourite furniture pieces by Locate to Create is their collection of dark wood rustic tables. They almost blend in as though they belong in the woods and are the perfect setting for my vintage tableware collection. Events by Design did a fantastic job in styling my vintage plates. I’d already selected the colours and patterns I knew would work well in this setting and they layered them in perfect combinations. All of my vintage plates have gold gilt detailing which adds to the boho luxe tablescape. My vintage crystal champagne glasses have been paired with coloured glass tumblers which looks awesome. I love the contrasting colours and textured on this table. My vintage silver kings pattern cutlery has been styled in an informal setting which looks ideal. Do feel free to send over an enquiry form if you would like more information regarding hiring my vintage tableware collection – here’s the link. The menu design by The Lovely Little Details works wonderfully with gold on black. It adds a dark glamour to the table.
Hot Chocolate Bar
One of the highlights from this collaboration. Perfect for an autumn or spring woodland wedding for that hour when the sun goes down and we look for warmth. The addition of marshmallows and other toppings allows guests to have a little fun as they pimp their hot chocolates. This is an added bonus for anyone not drinking at your wedding or for any children attending. Now its time to appreciate this cake creation by Ever After Wedding Cakes. I’ve seen tonnes of woodland wedding cakes but none that I’d actually like to eat ( a cake that looks like wood doesn’t get my taste buds going!). This one has the perfect balance of looking delicious and is decorated in a way in which it blends into the woodland. Spot on.
