Congratulations if you are recently engaged or if 2019 is the year of your wedding. If like so many of my couples, you are planning a boho inspired wedding, no doubt your Pinterest will be full of alternative wedding ideas, far from bland hotels and nylon chair covers! There is so much to chose from when planning a boho/alternative wedding, so I thought I’d bring you a round up of my favourites which I know will be huge for 2019 weddings.
A boho styled English woodland wedding transforming into a fun festival celebration has truly been captured by Jo from VV Raven in this inspirational styled shoot, deep in the woodlands at Lodge Farm Barns in Essex. When I was asked by Jo to supply the tableware for this creation I was over the moon as I knew it would be a bit special.
On the first hot, sunny day of the year, I was lucky enough to be collaborating with some of the most creative wedding suppliers in the South East. We were at a new wedding venue near Nazing in Essex and relaxed boho wedding was the theme for the day. I was asked to provide the vintage plates and vintage crystal glasses to style the long rustic tables, in a field and also in a barn. The talented Rock the Day Styling team were fully prepared with hours of macramé creations to decorate the setting. The team behind this styled shoot really were the dream team for this look and the photographer Kelsie Low captured the day perfectly. When asked by the lovely Jen from Wedding Spark to supply vintage crockery, glassware and cutlery for a styled shoot at The Barn at Avington, she mentioned it was a Wes Anderson-inspired shoot but to be honest I thought that just meant boho style with Brogues. How wrong was I, this shoot was epic with so much attention to detail. There was a huge team of perfectly selected wedding suppliers who each took so much time to get their contribution spot on. From the attention to detail in the wedding stationary to the gingerbread house and that perfect flag, to name a few. Here are some of my favourite images from the day, captured by the talented Kirsty Mackenzie.
At the recent eco wedding fair in Canterbury, Kent, I joined forces with some likeminded wedding suppliers to create a wedding reception tablescape with an eco luxe style. I’m so pleased that lots of couples planning their weddings (and most of us in general) are starting to be a bit more conscious regarding the companies we offer our business to. We all have an impact on the environment and the world we live in and quite rightly we should be looking at wedding suppliers regarding their eco stance, just as much as we should the suppliers in our everyday lives.
