English Woodland Wedding
A boho styled English woodland wedding transforming into a fun festival celebration has truly been captured by Jo from VV Raven in this inspirational styled shoot, deep in the woodlands at Lodge Farm Barns in Essex. When I was asked by Jo to supply the tableware for this creation I was over the moon as I knew it would be a bit special.
English Woodland Wedding – The Concept
When I received the Pinterest board from Jo at VV Raven I could clearly see the vision Jo had for this collaboration and it certainly wasn’t an ordinary English woodland wedding shoot. With bright pink headpieces, star shoes and amazing boho dresses this was a truly unique take on a woodland wedding. The idea was to have two looks during the day. A day time, boho look, with hints of pale pink and then a more festival transformation for the evening with hot pink detail, a cocktail bar and sequin gold dresses.
English Woodland Wedding – The Table designs
The first table setting was the day time, boho look where I layered white and gold gilt dinner plates with pale pink and gold starter plates. Jo from VV raven then created the floral centrepiece from British wild flowers and name place cards with light pink detail were supplied by Oops a doodle. The giant candles were the main focal point on the table which was situated in a small clearing in the woodland. For the second English woodland wedding table setting I changed all of the pale pink plates for darker/richer colours such as hot pink and dark reds with floral detailing. The crystal glasses remained on the tables an the slim white candles were changed to pink candles. Hot pink ribbons were tied to the surrounding trees and the whole area took on a more woodland festival vibe.
English Woodland Wedding – The Suppliers
To crate this look for your wedding you will need a fantastic wedding dress (or 2) from the talented Poppy Perspective and alternative bridal footware by Pearl & Stud. I love the star detail shoes and I can see these being a big hit next year as stars and moons become more popular as a wedding trend. Adding theatre to the overall look in every way is important, from hair and make up to the extravagant head pieces for the evening celebrations. The Mixology Brothers added their own theatre and charm with their cocktail making in the sunset.
